Social Networking has exploded amongst web surfers and Netwave Interactive joins full speed with its new social networking department. Priding ourselves on being at the forefront of the industry's latest trends and techniques, our company has recently expanded to include the next cutting-edge approach: social networking for businesses.

The idea of social networking is nothing new. However, social networking through the internet has boomed in the last few years with inventions such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

What may have started out as social media tools to keep up with each other's personal lives has since expanded to include businesses taking advantage of a way to increase their client base. When used properly, these social networking sites can provide another outlet for companies to advertise their product, connect to a greater network of potential consumers and track their competitors.

New to our team is social media specialist, Deb Smith. Owner of "Parents with Nannies," a 10-year old company which operates a network of ecommerce websites serving the Nanny industry, she began utilizing online message boards and email groups way before the term "social media" was coined. Having since launched her food blog, "Jersey Bites" and social network "Nannyisland.com" among other accolades, we are excited to welcome Deb as a part of our team.

Netwave Interactive, partnered with Deb Smith, employs one of the newest ways of using social media to a business's advantage. Already a success of search engine optimization, Netwave's new social media expert will be taking it to the next level, for example, by using the SEO results to locate a website's visitors on social networks such as LinkedIn.

Bringing additional innovative ideas to the table is Netwave's newest member, Jen Yorkanis. Having witnessed the onset of social networking online when sites such as Facebook and Myspace were primarily college-based, she has observed the impact it can have firsthand and envisioned the possibilities it can bring.

Joining in on Netwave's SEO process, coupled with her extensive knowledge of social media tools, Jen will incorporate inventive ways to find new business leads. Her constant exposure to social media sites keeps her ahead of the game as new trends continue to develop.

Netwave Interactive of Point Pleasant will be holding a seminar to introduce ways for businesses to employ social networking techniques. We are excited to take on the Internet's latest craze and incorporate it with what we already have proven to succeed in.
